South Norwalk had its own City Hall

South Norwalk was its own city until it merged with Norwalk in 1913, and it had a Town Hall to match. The archive postcard up top shows the Norwalk City Hall beside the Palace Theatre on North Main Street, with early automobiles in the road. The card is postmarked in 1923(?) and the message on it reads simply “City Hall, Jack.” Same instinct as Thursday’s forum: sooner or later, the town gathers at the hall.
